Principal
Linda Correll concentrates her practice on international and oil and gas-related matters, including investment projects and strategic commercial and business advice.  She focuses on providing legal and commercial advice and support in connection with: exploration, development, and production operations; and negotiation of contracts including petroleum agreements with governments, joint operating agreements and drilling related contracts with rig companies and other service providers. Ms. Correll also provides advice related to acquisitions, divestments, and mergers and related strategic commercial and business solutions. Ms. Correll also provides legal counsel for transactions relating to the lease, purchase and sale of US domestic oil and gas properties, providing advise for multi-state for transactions relating to the purchase, sale and mortgaging of domestic oil and gas properties. Ms. Correll also
conducts due diligence reviews, and prepares assignments and other documents related to the development, purchase or sale of oil and gas properties.

Ms. Correll was legal counsel to departments responsible for commercial transactions, including E&P new ventures, E&P operations and ongoing affiliate transactions.  She negotiated multi-million dollar commercial agreements, including productions sharing agreements, concession agreements, joint operating agreements, joint venture agreements, drilling related agreements, construction and other infrastructure related agreements and licensing agreements..
Notable Accomplishments included:
- Counsel for Kosmos' Jubilee Field Integrated Project Team development operations contracting for field development drilling, appraisal and related operational services and equipment contracts. 
- Counsel for bid process for sale of Kosmos Energy Ghana organizing contracts and title related files for bidders’, reviewing and responding daily to questions from approximately 15 potential bidders and their various representatives for a sale that was ultimately approved by the Board, but rejected by Ghana.
- Lead counsel for Kosmos’ farmout of four blocks in Morocco, negotiating farm-out agreements and joint operating agreements, obtaining some of the best commercial terms known in West Africa.
- Negotiated five production sharing contracts and joint operating agreements to obtain three blocks in Mauritania and two in Suriname; provided ongoing legal support to country affiliates, exploration, and commercial teams.
- Counsel to affiliates in Ghana, Morocco, Cameroon, Suriname and Mauritania with responsibility for tendering, drafting and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts for off-shore seismic acquisitions, drilling rigs, related services, equipment, materials and other infrastructure necessary for off-shore exploration.

EXXON MOBIL CORPORATION (formerly Mobil Corp.)
Counsel
Legal counsel to international new venture groups.  Negotiated multi-million dollar international commercial agreements, including production sharing agreements, concession agreements, joint operating agreements, joint venture agreements, drilling related agreements, construction and other infrastructure related agreements and licensing agreements.
Notable Accomplishments
- Lead counsel for Mobil’s entry into the privatization of Brazil’s oil and gas industry.
- Legal counsel to Mobil’s US domestic affiliate that included negotiating settlements regarding title disputes with royalty and working interest owners and negotiating contracts for numerous domestic transactions.
- Lead counsel for negotiated $170 million drilling rig and technology sharing agreement in Azerbaijan.
- Counsel for Mobil’s Zafiro Field development contracting for field development drilling, appraisal and related operational services and equipment contracts, and the construction contracts for the office and living compound in Equatorial Guinea.
- Counsel to affiliates in Equatorial Guinea, Egypt, Sakhalin, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia and Qatar including negotiated in-country local labor strikes and settlements of various business disputes as counsel to affiliates in Venezuela and Argentina.
- Counsel to business unit transition team for Exxon Mobil merger and participated in related due diligence review activities.

TRITON ENERGY LIMITED
Associate General Counsel Ms. Correll was lead negotiator and legal counsel on multi-million dollar production sharing agreements with the government of Equatorial Guinea (approximate initial investment of $50 million that resulted in discovery and production) and negotiated multi-million dollar production sharing agreements with the government of Madagascar (approximate initial investment: $30 million). She provided legal counsel to affiliates in Argentina, Ecuador, and Guatemala. Evaluated contracts and prepared bid packages for international investment opportunities in several other countries in Latin America and Africa.  She also provided legal advice for producing domestic affiliates, including oversaw environmental litigation issues in California.

LANDMAN and OTHER EARLY CAREER Ms. Correll was a Landman prior to law school.  She began the practice of law as an Associate specializing in oil and gas with Musser & Bunch P.C. in Oklahoma City and thereafter as an Attorney in the oil and gas practice with Thompson & Knight LLP in Dallas.
